Created by Maya and Lara Hammoud, The Perception Foundation is creating a world where individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders—and all those who experience the world differently—can access the support they need to thrive. The Perception Foundation is the worlds largest youth-led non profit on neurodiversity advocacy and support.
By creating the cost-effective sensory room model, developing the first brain-based PreK–12 curriculum for NDD awareness, and advancing research on transformative therapeutics, we’re paving the way for a future where individuals with NDDs—and everyone who experiences the world differently—can fully participate in everyday life.
Our Impact
Since its inception, The Perception Foundation has reached over 365,000 people—from individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders who have benefited directly from our sensory tools and spaces, to educators, families, and community members engaged in rethinking inclusion and challenging stigma around NDDs.
